MoMA Exclusive: This limited-edition skateboard features a reproduction of Jeff Koons’s New Shelton Wet/Dry Doubledecker (1981), an artwork in MoMA’s collection. The work is composed of two immaculate, unused wet/dry vacuum cleaners that are stacked one atop the other, and hermetically sealed in plexiglass boxes lit from below with fluorescent lights. Limited numbered edition of 200.Â
The Jeff Koons New Shelton Wet/Dry Single Skateboard is a collaboration between Koons and The Skateroom, a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowering organizations.Â
The Skateroom will contribute a portion of all sales to their skate park project and the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, a charitable organization co-founded by Koons.
