Blocks Capsule Tower Stacking Game

This interpretation of the famous Nakagin Capsule Tower Building that stood in Tokyo from 1972–2022 is a perfect toy for architecture fans. The Blocks Capsule Tower consists of 21 wooden blocks that interlock and stack to create a mini tower. The toy tower is an abstraction of the Nakagin Tower (not a reproduction), and uses the idea of modularity that the building was based on, to create a stacking game, where endless configurations are possible. A capsule from the original Nakagin Capsule Tower Building will be on view at MoMA in spring 2025.

The Blocks Capsule Tower Stacking Game includes:

  • 21 beech wood blocks (18 capsules, 2 tips and 1 base).
  • Blocks are painted with water-based paint.
  • Includes cotton bag for storage.
  • Box measures 10.65h x 3.55w x 3.55"d.
  • Ages 6+.
